Life in the Shop | Keeping up with Adam Alexander and the CFC Sr. High

World Premiere

Make sure you come tonight for the debut video single by CFC Sr. Highs very own rap tandem, J-Harm and T-Rhyme.  Their first ever rap music video will drop tonight for its world premiere at IGNITE.  Hope that you all make it out to see it, plus we are still talking about sex in our Hooking Up or Holding Out Series.  You know you don’t want to miss that.  See you guys tonight!

Kicks for Kenya

Here is a picture of the “shoe decorators” from Kicks for Kenya.  We are thinking about starting our own company to raise money for Sr. High.  We would call it Shoes from the Shop.  I think it has potential.  You guys were an incredible team.  Comment and let me know if you want in and then check out some other pictures from the event under the pages tab.

A Great Lunch

I had lunch today with David Windley from East West Ministries.  He is one of CFC’s Commended Missionaries and is our point person and head of the Sr. High Short Term Mission’s Trip to Haiti.

We had an opportunity to talk about the trip to Haiti and some of the details of our time there.  It is going to be a great trip.  We will potentially be ministering to hundreds of children each morning we are there!  How great will it be to love those kids with His love?!  We will also be doing street evangelism and door to door evangelism in a local town that doesn’t have a church.  We will be able to clearly present the name of Jesus to many people who have never heard before.

That is just a few of the details, but I wanted to share with you because my excitement is rising even as I type.  God has picked out this trip exactly for us and I am confident that He will do great things!!

If you are interested in going, you need to have your application (in the Shop) in by March 30.  The trip dates are June 28th-July 7th.  I should be getting an updated cost (probably cheaper!!) in the next few days and will post it and announce it as soon as I hear.

I will be praying for all of you as you commit this trip to the Lord and His plans.  Don’t let anything get in the way of offering yourself as an instrument of righteousness!  Please let me know if you have any questions.

Weekend Update

Just wanted to take a quick second and thank all of you who served in the Children’s Mission’s Conference this weekend.  I can’t tell you enough how proud I am of you and how God is at work in you.  You made an impact on those kids lives and there is no doubt that you were the reason we had record attendance last night!  I long for the day in heaven when we see the fruit of the work that God did this weekend.  What a joy it is going to be to worship along side a people group, a nation, a tongue that first heard the Gospel of Jesus from one of those children that attended last night.  Just the thought of that as I write brings tears of incredible joy to my eyes.  What a time in eternity that will be, when every tribe, tongue, and nation are standing united as children of God!!

Again, I am so thankful for you and again want to express to you how much I love and care for each of you.  Keep pursuing the Lord and keep serving Him, for your reward will be great!  I will be posting Kicks for Kenya pictures as soon as I get them from our professional photographer, Ryan Potter.  If you are interested in seeing the Sunday night session from Marilyn Laszlo again or for the first time, let me know…we have it on DVD.

Thanks for a great weekend, you guys are awesome!

HOPE in Haiti

Check out this video on work that HOPE International is doing in Haiti.  We are hoping that we will get to spend a day or so on our short term trip learning and working with HOPE this summer.  Pretty incredible ministry, enjoy.
